A Kansas City woman was found with four pounds of methamphetamine and was punished with probation.Â
Last June, a deputy confronted a stopped a car about five miles west of Warsaw. Inside the car was Kansas City resident Leilani Smith and two other people. During the traffic stop, the deputy says he caught a whiff of marijuana and saw bullet holes in the car, KJLU 88.9 FM.Â
The deputy ended up letting them go with a warning after their friend came back with gasoline. Afterward, the deputy searched a tree line that was close by, where he found a gallon bag that had four pounds of meth inside. The radio station reports the meth had a street value of $70,000.Â
The three suspects were trailed down and arrested. Smith pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree drug trafficking on Tuesday, the news outlet reports.
