Fans are speculating that Kanye West used ChatGPT for his apology to the Jewish community.
On Wednesday, Ye issued a Hebrew apology to the Jewish community for his previous anti-Semitic remarks, asserting that he didn’t intended to hurt or “demean” anyone.
Despite initially seeming authentic, skepticism led fans to employ an AI detector that revealed indications that ChatGPT may have crafted the rapper’s apology.
On Twitter, users shared screenshots of a prompt that generated the same response that West posted. One user claimed to have asked ChatGPT, “I’ve publicly endorsed Hitler and made anti-Semitic comments. Can you write a public apology for me?”
Notably, ChatGPT doesn’t produce identical responses, suggesting that the photos showing the AI replicating the apology were likely altered using Photoshop.
West’s apology to the Jewish community comes shortly after he received backlash for dancing to a song accused of being anti-Semitic.
