Ye Admits He’s Copied Drake “a Lot of Times” [Video]

Kanye West, aka Ye, is in a reflective mood, and this time, he’s giving props where they’re due.

In a surprise livestream with Toronto rapper and Drake affiliate Top5, Ye kept it real about how much the 6 God has influenced him.

“The thing about Drake’s music is he ain’t got shit where he copies what I do. I’ll have copied a Drake flow a lot of times. I got shit that once Drake took over the algorithm was copies of Drake.”

Yeah, you read that right. Ye admitted he’s borrowed from Drake’s style, even though the two have been throwing shade and sneak disses for years.

But lately, Ye’s been on a Drake praise tour. Especially after Drake’s defamation lawsuit with UMG popped off.

“I’m never finna call Drake out of his name. I’m team Drake, 100%. And team Kendrick and Team all of us! Kendrick needs to be going at UMG at this point.”

Could this be a new chapter for Ye, Drake, and maybe even Kendrick? We’ll see.
