Kanye West is having one heck of a week, and now, new allegations have surfaced claiming that the rapper’s anti-Semitic remarks have quietly been going on for years.
Van Lathan, who famously confronted Ye in 2018 during his rant on TMZ, revealed on his Higher Learning podcast that while the world may be shocked to hear ‘Ye going against Jewish people, his views are nothing new. Lathan said he interviewed Ye after that confrontation, but much of it had to be cut.
“I knew that that was in him because when came to TMZ, he said that stuff and they took it out of the interview,” Lathan shared with co-host Rachel Lindsay, adding that ‘Ye said, “I love Hitler, I love Nazis, something to that effect.”
These latest revelations arise after Ye has endured a tumultuous few weeks filled with anti-Semitic remarks, “White Lives Matter” shirts, and leaked text messages between himself and various people. One leaked text thread included a conversation with P. Diddy. In those screenshots, Ye insinuated that Diddy was being controlled by Jewish people.
“Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me,” the screenshot read, which in turn sparked a series of unfortunate events for the “Jesus Walks” rapper. First, ‘Ye was booted from Instagram, so he returned to Twitter, where he said he would be going “Deathcon 3 on Jewish people.” Shortly after, JP Morgan Chase cut ties with the rapper, telling him he’d need to find a new banking institution.Ā UninterruptedĀ The Shop also announced that they shelved their recent interview with West after he allegedly spewed “hate speech” during the taping.
In addition, the rapper’s relationship with Adidas, which is home to his Yeezy shoe line, is “under review” after ‘Ye supposedly showed the company’s execs porn during a bizarre meeting and subsequently posted the incident online. Some people have attributed his behavior to his bipolar diagnosis and believe the 45-year-old is having a manic episode. However, others are certain that the comments and stunts are a part of Ye’s history of being a shock jock.
Either way, things are not looking too bright for the rapper.
