Kanye West Being Investigated for Allegedly Punching a Fan Who Asked for an Autograph

According to TMZ, Kanye West is the subject of an LAPD investigation for allegedly punching a fan who asked for an autograph.

Authorities told the outlet the “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” rapper and a fan got into an argument that allegedly turned physical around 3 AM near the Soho Warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles.

According to Fox 11, the fan told police he approached Ye, who was sitting in a vehicle at the time, and asked for an autograph. They exchanged words, and then that’s when things turned physical as Yeezy allegedly exited the car and punched the fan.

Police were reportedly called, but Ye had left the scene by the time officers arrived.

The incident is being investigated as misdemeanor battery. It carries a maximum jail sentence of six months.
