Kanye West is making some serious allegations against his former corporate business partner, Adidas.
In a Monday Instagram rant, West accused Adidas of being involved in the sale of “fake” Yeezy sneakers, the signature shoe created by West himself. According to Ye, the athletic wear brand is “putting out fake colorways that are not approved.”
“They’re suing me for $250 million dollars, and they’re also not paying me for these shoes that they’re putting out that have my name on it. And they’re using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape an artist, one of ya’ll favorite artist,” West claimed.

This shocking revelation has sparked a wave of debate in Ye’s comment section and is the latest drama in the fractured Yeezy deal. West’s partnership with Adidas dates back to 2013Â when he severed ties with Nike and joined forces with the German sportswear brand to continue producing his Yeezy brand. Unfortunately, after a wave of antisemitic comments from West, Adidas decided it would sever ties with the “Jesus Walks” star. However, there was some confusion on how to move forward with the remaining Yeezy sneakers. In February 2024, the company decided once and for all that they’d move forward with selling the remaining Yeezy’s, which feature West’s name on them.
Adidas has not yet commented on the matter.
