According to TMZ, Kanye’s personal physician is the one who placed the 911 call on Monday, that resulted in Kanye being taken to the hospital. The physician warned the dispatcher that Kanye was not violent, but may become violent when police arrive.
Dr. Michael Farzam told the dispatcher that his patient’s name was “Jim Jones, 39 years old, 5’8″, 175 lbs and suffers from temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.”
At the time of arrival the doctor told police that he had placed Kanye on 5150 psychiatric hold after Kanye tried to assault a gym staff member. As per protocol, Kanye was handcuffed on a stretcher. It’s unclear whether Kanye’s physician really placed him on 5150.
