Kanye West Deletes All Instagram Posts Following the Death of Friend Virgil Abloh

Following an emotional weekend that included the loss of close friend and designer Virgil Abloh, Kanye West deleted all of his Instagram posts on Monday.

The rapper never said anything about the designer’s passing, but he did dedicate his Sunday Service to him.

It reads simply: “In loving memory of Virgil Abloh, the Creative Director of Donda.”

During the service, Kanye’s choir sang their own version of Adele’s newest single, “Easy on Me.” “I know your love flows like a river, and I could wash myself in it forever,” and, “I know there is hope in these waters, but I can’t bring myself to swim when I am drowning in my sin.”

It is unclear why Kanye deleted his posts, but the move comes just days after he shared a Thanksgiving prayer last week, after trying to win back his estranged wife Kim Kardashian.

This is not the first time West has disappeared from social media.
