We are here to tell you that the rumors circulating about Kanye West’s new album “Donda” being a dis album about Kim Kardashian are false.
Page Six confirmed that the rumor claiming Kanye West equates his marital home with ex-wife Kim Kardashian to a “jail” on his new album, singing that he has “escaped from Calabasas” is a lie.
The outlet reported that Kanye “doesn’t rap anything negative about his estranged wife on the new album, and certainly doesn’t compare himself to being a prisoner or rap about her taking everything.”
“Kanye actually played the song for Kim personally before the listening party,” a source told Page Six. “It’s emotional and personal. Not negative at all.”
On Sunday, Kanye threw a surprise listening party for Donda, at which he performed several songs from the album. Fans were given a sneak peek at two songs in clips from the event that surfaced on social media, one of which included him briefly talking about his family.
The Donda album, named after Kanye’s mother, will include features from a few known artists like Baby Keem, Lil Baby, Griselda, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, and Post Malone.
Live Nation stated on Monday that Ye would conduct another listening party in Atlanta on Thursday, dubbed “Kanye West Presents A Donda Listening Event” on July 22.
The record is expected to be released on Friday, July 23.
