Kanye West has reserved thousands of complimentary tickets to his “Donda” listening party for HBCUs in the Atlanta area.
Page Six reports that the rapper has donated over 5,000 tickets for Thursday’s event at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to students, faculty, and staff from Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College, Morris Brown College, and ITC.
The anticipated album, “Donda,” which honors West’s late mother, Donda West, is set to be released this Friday. According to a source close to West, at least one song on the album is highly “emotional,” and he played it privately for estranged wife Kim Kardashian before his Las Vegas show.
“Kanye actually played the song for Kim personally before the listening party,” sources say. “It’s emotional and personal. Not negative at all.
