Kanye West has been dropped by his talent agency following his recent antisemitic rants on social media.
On Monday, February 10th, Daniel McCartney, a music agent at 33&West, announced on Instagram Stories: “Effective immediately, I’m no longer representing YE (F/K/A Kanye West) due to his harmful and hateful remarks that myself nor 33 & West can stand for.” He concluded the post with, “peace and love to all.”
This move comes just days after West, 47, posted a series of slurs on Twitter on Thursday, February 6th, and over a week after his unanticipated appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The controversial rapper praised Adolf Hitler and defended Diddy, who faces federal sex trafficking charges. He also referenced Elon Musk’s one-armed salute at Donald Trump’s inauguration, which Musk dismissed, saying, “The ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack is sooo tired.”
In his rant, West went on to call antisemitism “just some bulls**t Jewish people made up,” and stated, “I’m never apologizing for my Jewish comments.”
West’s Twitter account has since been deactivated, with the page displaying a message that reads: “This account doesn’t exist.” It is unclear whether West was removed from the platform or deleted his own profile.
West’s past antisemitic remarks have already cost him major brand deals with Adidas, Balenciaga, and Gap, and he was previously banned from Twitter in 2022 for threatening Jewish people.
In addition, West’s Yeezy.com is no longer online amid controversy over the rapper selling a swastika shirt on the merchandise website. Visitors to the Yeezy website are now met with error messages that read “something went wrong” and “this store is unavailable.” The site had used e-commerce platform Shopify to complete its transactions.
“All merchants are responsible for following the rules of our platform. This merchant did not engage in authentic commerce practices and violated our terms, so we removed them from Shopify,” Shopify told Variety in a statement about the website being pulled offline.
