If you were privileged enough, you got the opportunity to hear Kanye’s seventh studio album, “The Life Of Pablo,” when he premiered it in front of thousands at Madison Square Garden on Thursday. Initially titled “So Help Me God,” then “Swish,” and then “Waves,” the 18-track album features cameos from Ty Dolla Sign, Young Thug, Chance The Rapper, Rihanna, Frank Ocean and more. At first, it appeared “No More Parties In LA” featuring Kendrick Lamar did not make the final tracklist, but in the last few seconds before dropping the album, Kanye re-added it, as well as 6 other tracks. Now, after 2 days worth of delays and changes, the album has now been made available to the public.
Some of the stand out lyrics include lots of name. There’s a mention of Blac Chyna dating Rob Kardashian, Ray J and the sex tape get some air time and Kanye even says he wants to have sex with Taylor Swift. As far as the album having a gospel feel, in some parts it does. Kanye didn’t lie about that.
All in all, if you are a fan of Pre-Yeezus Kanye, you may enjoy “The Life Of Pablo.” Pablo as in Picasso, by the way.
