Kanye “Ye” West has been accused of harassment after he allegedly showed Adidas executives a pornographic video during a meeting.
Kanye West has been making headlines back-to-back for all of 2022, it seems. Much of it has been due to his own actions, with the most recent incident being him slamming various celebs and journalists and seemingly making violent threats toward the Jewish community. His outbursts led to him getting booted off Twitter and Instagram. And in response, he took his expressions to YouTube, where he released a 30-minute documentary this past Monday.
The video begins with a character seemingly modeled after Kanye navigating through a facility. It then cuts to footage of him in real life, listening to what appears to be a new track. Eventually, the video takes viewers to a meeting he’s having with Adidas executives. In the footage, West starts showing the execs a porn video. At one point, of the Yeezy designers asks, “is this a porn movie?” West responds, “yes.” The designer then says, “Jesus Christ,” but West moves the phone closer to him to keep him watching. The execs then push West’s arm away and says, “Come on,” to which West complies and puts his phone in his pocket.
West then connects the context of the video with how he feels his relationship is with Adidas. “You guys have done wrong by the company, by the business, and by the partnership,” says West. “The whole concept of this video is that the guy had cheated. So, then the girl was like, ‘Well, I’m gonna do the thing that is your worst nightmare.’ This is your worst nightmare.”
He continues: “Your worst nightmare is not me hitting you. Your worst nightmare is not me playing the porn. Your worst nightmare is not me screaming.”
The footage from the meeting has sparked outrage, with many of the rapper’s fans calling his actions “disgusting” and a form of harassment.
