Kanye West is reportedly planning his second “DONDA” listening experience at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Sources close to the rap and sneaker mogul revealed that Yeezy is currently working on ways to make the next show bigger and better. The date for the second album preview has been locked in for August 5th, which is the eve of the album’s release.
Though details are scarce, Ye is working to give his fans a completely different experience than the first sold-out July 23rd gathering. This is partially at the urging of CAA and Live Nation, who are also placing mounting pressure on the Kanye team to deliver. Both companies are fearful that selling tickets to the production may prove difficult if fans can expect the same performance.
At the first “DONDA” celebration, Kanye danced around rocking his all-red Yeezy gear on the main stage as he previewed music that articulated his impending divorce, religious views, and a reunion with longtime friend, Jay-Z. Not much was said from Kanye, but fans were pleased to get an exclusive preview of the project. While the show was not overly produced, it still set a new Apple Music Global Livestream record, with 3.3 million viewers.
For now, we can only speculate about what’s in store for round two of “DONDA,” as Kanye puts the finishing touches on the highly-anticipated album named after his late mother, Donda West.
