Kanye West’s Presidential Campaign Treasurer Has Dropped Out Amid Fraud Allegations

The treasurer of Kanye West’s 2024 presidential campaign has abruptly quit, claiming fraud is at play.

Though West has not officially declared his bid for the White House, Patrick Krason was still on board to help the rap mogul ahead of his announcement. However, things have quickly gone sour between the two. According to a letter penned by Krason and delivered to the Federal Election Commission, he accused campaign advisor Milo Yiannopoulos of breaking federal campaign finance laws by submitting fake invoices last year. He also allegedly sought reimbursement for a “domain transfer” from West’s and the Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green’s campaigns. Yiannopoulos has denied any wrongdoing.

If these accusations are found true, that would mean that West’s second campaign is already getting off to a rocky start. In 2020, his bid for the seat attracted 60,000 votes and was marked by disturbing outbursts. At his only campaign rally, West cried while divulging deeply personal matters about his family, including their early conversations about having an abortion when Kim Kardashian was pregnant with their oldest daughter, North. Thankfully, his latest campaign efforts have not yet produced such a spectacle, and if such fraud allegations continue, it’s likely West could bow out altogether.

West has not publicly addressed the current turmoil brewing within his camp. Elsewhere in the Ye universe, he is planning the new chapter of Yeezy since parting ways with Adidas. He recently opened a headquarter directly across from the sports brand’s Los Angeles location, a move that could signify a reconciliation or a brewing sneaker beef. Either way, Mr. West has his hands full.
