Kanye West and his Sunday Service choir were all on board with ”The Late Late Show” host James Corden, for a special ‘Airpool Karaoke’ segment of ‘Carpool Karaoke.’
During the conversation, which appeared on Monday’s episode of ”The Late Late Show,” the rapper spoke candidly about his marriage to Kim Kardashian, whom he’s been married to for five years. He jokingly compared “marriage years” to “dog years”, explaining that one dog year being equivalent to seven human years and every marriage year is equal to 100 human years. The rapper then added that he feels like he’s been married to the Kim K. for “500 years”.
Ye went on claim that he made marriage cool, saying, “People thought it would be uncool to be married, and then I got married and people thought ’oh that looks cool.’ He also shared that him and Kim aren’t finished having kids just yet, and that they plan on having seven kids in total.
Elsewhere, Kanye, 42, who just dropped his ninth studio album ”Jesus Is King” last week, said that Sunday Service concerts were something that God put it in his heart to do.
Sitting on the plane with over 100 members of his Sunday Service choir, West said that all the pain he has gone through, has all been a part of God’s plan, “God’s always had a plan for me and he wanted to use me, but I think he wanted me to suffer more and wanted people to see my suffering and see my pain and put stigmas on me and have me go through all the human experiences,” West told Corden.
“So now, when I talk about how Jesus saved me, more people can relate to that experience. If it was just, ‘We grew up with this guy and he’s a superstar,’ it’s less compelling than this guy who had a mental breakdown and this guy was in debt,” he added.
Reflecting on his life that has been full of ups and down, Kanye said, “I have no regret and no shame.”
