It’s no question that at one point in time, Kanye West and Jay Z were close. Kanye even considered Jay Z his big brother. However, for anyone who has been paying attention, the two pals don’t seem as tight knit as they appeared to be years ago.
Kanye’s Saint Pablo Tour hit Seattle Wednesday night, and as we previously mentioned, he went on quite the rant. While he discussed Jay Z hopping off of Drake’s “Pop Style” and why there will never be a “Watch The Throne 2,” he also touched on his strained relationship with his former BFF and shares his grievances about how Jay and Beyonce handled Kim Kardashian’s recent robbery.
“Don’t call me after the robbery and say, ‘How you feelin’?’ You wanna know how I’m feeling? Come by the house … Bring the kids by the house, like we’re brothers,” said Kanye. “Our kids ain’t never even played together.”
Kanye West and Jay Z were still pretty good friends when Beyonce announced she was pregnant at the MTV Video Music Awards. Beyonce had Blue Ivy in January 2012 and things seemed kind of quiet. On June 3 of 2013, Kim Kardashian’s divorce from Kris Humphries was finalized, and over a week later she gave birth to North West. Kim and Kanye wed in May 2014, but Beyonce and Jay Z were not present.
Everyone has their theories about why Kanye and Jay Z aren’t as close as they used to be. Are Jay Z and Beyonce wrong for not dropping everything to come see Kanye and Kim? Is Kanye West making a big deal out of nothing?
