Kanye West met with Donald Trump at Trump Tower in New York on Tuesday morning and before the two posed for photos, they had a brief chat about life.
According to Donald Trump, he and Kanye “discussed life” during their 15-minute sit down. Trump says that he and Kanye have been “friends for a long time” and that Kanye is a “good man.” Earlier today E! News reported that Donald Trump was considering making Kanye an “ambassador of sorts,” though they did not go into great detail.
A rep for Kanye tells TMZ that today’s meeting did not consist of any talk of Kanye performing at the inauguration or participating in the new administration, but Kanye does want to eventually speak to Trump about the violence in Chicago. Kanye did not bring up the subject during today’s meeting, but hopes to do so after Trump is in office.
“I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” Kanye said. “These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”
