Amid the reemergence of Kanye West, including his ring-wing conservative co-signs, his professed love for Donald Trump and his alleged disclosure of opioid addiction, those closest to the G.O.O.D Music boss are once again concerned about the creative’s mental health.
According to The @blast, sources close to the rapper say he recently had a major outburst during a studio session, where he screamed and yelled about his Yeezy business. In the rant, West reportedly complained about the need (or lack thereof) of people with “titles” around him. He also reportedly hollered about handling his career and Yeezy business “in-house” and all by himself.
West also reportedly ended his studio rant with a declaration that “Yeezy is the new Apple,” which ultimately led to one of West’s top advisers to grow concerned about the rapper’s mental state.
“We are all worried about his current mental health,” the source told the publication, adding that many close to him believe he may suffer from another “episode,” like the 2016 breakdown that ended in hospitalization.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In fact, sources tell The Blast that his recent return to Twitter may be more than just promo for his forthcoming album, as his friends and advisors say it may be part of a downward spiral for West. However, sources did clarify recent statements made by Hot 97’s Ebro Darden that the rapper had suffered from opioid addition, apparently he did not.
At the time, according to the publication, West’s hospitalization was due to extreme paranoia and acute mental illness. However, as for Darden’s claims that the rapper said he loved Trump, sources say those closest to the rapper are upset that he has publicly supported alt-right pundits like Candace Owens, as it is affecting his relationship with the hip-hop community and much more.
In the wake of the claims though, West still seems a bit unbothered as he phoned Ebro this morning to express his love for the Hot 97 host. Although the G.O.O.D music boss didn’t say much on the call, there may be a possibility that the call is linked source’s concerns. What are your thoughts?
