The artist formerly known as Kanye West is now simply Ye!
A Los Angeles judge approved the rapper’s petition to change his legal name to Ye, with no middle or last name, Deadline reports.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michelle Williams Court gave her stamp of approval after Ye filed to legally change his name for personal reasons on Aug 24.
In 2018, the “Flashing Lights” rapper released his album titled then-nickname, Ye. On a promo stop that same year, Ye told radio host Big Boy that he believes “ye” is “the most commonly used word in the Bible. Ye has also been his Twitter name for some time now.
