On Saturday, rapper Joyner Lucas took to his Twitter with accusations of marketing maven Karen Civil stealing $60k when he was an unknown rapper. The Massachusetts rapper fired off in a series of Tweets.

My son was on the way, and you stole 60k from me before I got in the game @KarenCivil. I hired you as a consultant and below attached was the memo you sent me. I was desperate for help and you knew that. After you was paid you went ghost and didn’t expect me to pop. here I am,” the rapper tweeted.

Lucas continued, “After you got the money paid up front, you stopped answering my calls & every time I hit you, you answered the phone with a attitude like I was messing up your day. I sent you hella messages pleading with you to do your job becuz my back was againts the wall. You took advantage.”

Joyner Lucas didn’t stop there with the tweets. The rapper provided screenshots of text messages and shared that the marketing maven blocked him on Twitter.

After the tweets, social media went on frenzy about the accusations were aired out, including ClubHouse. A room named, “KAREN CIVIL BEEN A FRAUD I tried to tell y’all” featured many celebs, publicists, managers, Jessie Woo, and Joyner Lucas.

On ClubHouse, Civil talked about where the money went and that invoices were provided to his manager. Joyner Lucas joined the chat and talked about the moment he was “sold a dream.” Lucas discussed the memo that Karen Civil sent to him and the services that would be provided with $60K which included blog placements for new releases, iTunes, interviews, and more.

Lucas continued and talked about his excitement as well as the perception of her work with Nipsey Hussle. The rapper stated that the moment he got off of the call with Civil, he never really heard from Karen Civil. He went on to say that he tried reaching out to Karen on several occasions but she came off as if he was disturbing her day. The rapper just wanted some clarity on what was going on and the next steps.

Karen chimed in on ClubHouse that she used the money for radio plays, mix shows, etc. ” I was so proactive with doing your business. I was proactive when it came to you. There are some that are hits and misses. It takes longer than other times….but I didn’t run away with your $50-60K like this is being insinuated. Everybody had to be paid to be a part of this,” Karen Civil stated.

The conversation continued to get heated, which lead to a dialogue of the difference between an invoice and receipt. Check out the exchange between the two below:
