During her recent sit-down with Keke Palmer, Kash detailed the breakdown of her relationship. The couple, who welcomed their son in January 2022, often appeared deeply in love whenever they shared images online. However, Kash revealed that infidelity behind the scenes ultimately led to their split. Thanks to her daughter Klarity, the rapper says she found the strength to walk away.

“As far as Klarity, she brought clarity. And that’s why my situation that I was in with their dad, I couldn’t do it no more,” she stated. “The negativity, the not treating me how I want to be treated, the cheating, all that s**t. Goodbye. Goodbye. She’s not about to see that. She needs to see me get love correctly.”

After giving birth to Klarity, Kash announced that she was single. At the time, she did not disclose what caused the breakup, though she had alluded to the relationship taking a sour turn in past interviews. Since confirming her single status, the “Nothin New” star has found new love with Detroit Lions defensive end Za’Darius Smith. The pair were spotted together in Ghana and recently went Instagram official. While Kash insists she wasn’t looking for love at the time, Smith made the first move during a chance meeting in a nightclub.

“So we sitting up there and he walked through like security and everything and just like introduced himself,” she explained, adding what initially attracted her to Smith. “You know how some guys that just come sliding your DM after they seen you or, you know, tell somebody…He came over with that energy. I said, ‘Oh, wow.'”

It’s unclear how long the pair have been dating, but Kash says she has “no complaints” about the way their relationship is flowing.
