Keke Palmer is addressing the nasty fallout with her baby daddy and the viral moment between her and Usher.

In her new track “My Confession,” Palmer drops the full story behind the drama that exploded after Usher serenaded her during his Las Vegas residency. Reworking Usher’s “Confessions Part II,” Palmer adds new lyrics that reflect on her public fallout with ex Darius Jackson, who infamously tweeted, “It’s the outfit tho… you a mom.”
Jackson, who shares a child with Palmer, was swiftly dragged online and later deactivated his accounts, without apology. Palmer subtly fired back at the time, most notably by starring in Usher’s “Boyfriend” video, singing, “Somebody said that your boyfriend’s looking for me…Just look for me wherever he sees you.”
Now, nearly two years later, Palmer is telling her side. In a note posted online, she wrote, “My Confession was exactly what it sounds like, me giving voice to the feelings I buried,” adding, “I’m not here to play perfect. I’m here to be honest. I’m just here to be Keke.”
Though less than two minutes long, the song is a raw release.
“My fans was dragging you because you had the nerve,” she sings. “Almost turned me into a cliché/Thought having your baby would make me wanna stay…F**k your projections/These are my confessions.”
After a custody battle and mutual abuse allegations, Palmer says they’ve since found a balance, but clearly, she had more to say. Now she has.
