After alarming the world with her “disappearance,” singer Kelly Price has given fans an update on her improving health after a nearly fatal battle with COVID-19.
On Thursday, the “It’s Gonna Rain” vocalist took to Instagram to let her eager followers know she was doing well. This is the first time the Grammy-nominated songstress has spoken out since confirming that she was not missing or endangered after going off the grid to recover from the deadly virus.
“Sis is following dr’s orders. Sis is getting stronger everyday. Sis is working hard to get back to the music,” the 48-year-old R&B and gospel icon wrote. Price raised some eyebrows when she went on to note that she was “eliminating stress from everywhere and everyone who presents it no matter who they are.” Some fans interpreted this as her aiming at her sister, Shanrae Cheree Price, who did interviews in the wake of the singer’s “disappearance.” After resurfacing, Kelly revealed she and Shanrae had been estranged for a while before she went into seclusion to heal.

Price announced in July that she was battling COVID-19. Her family reported her missing in Georgia after claiming they’d not been in contact with her since her release from the hospital in August.
