Kelly Rowland Gets Engaged Over Skype

Speculation of Kelly Rowland’s engagement to Tim Witherspoon have been circulating for weeks after photos of Kelly and a new engagement ring were spotted online. The “Motivation” singer stayed pretty mum on the subject, until now.

Kelly tells The Queen Latifah Show that Tim Witherspoon, her boyfriend and manager, popped the question via Skype while she was in Bulgaria.

“He asked me first on Skype,” she tells Queen Latifah, “But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, ‘I got my best friend to ride through life with.’ He really is my best friend.” 

I love Kelly and I’m glad to see she has a man who adores her. I actually think in this case the Skype idea was romantic. It shows that he went with his impulse. He could have waited, yes, but he was so overwhelmed with love he had to ask her right then! I love it!
