Kelly Rowland addresses rumors of Destiny’s Child potentially reuniting.
The iconic girl group disbanded in 2005 and took on solo careers in the music industry. The r&b trio released five studio albums together and became one of the most sought girl groups in the early 2000s.
That said, fans speculated the group was reuniting after their headers were changed on the social media accounts.
In a recent interview, Kelly Rowland spoke about the possibility of a DC reunion. Kelly told Entertainment Tonight that Destiny’s Child would never “play with anybody” over a potential reunion.
“We love everybody so much that we wouldn’t toy with it. But I think you would deserve a surprise,” Kelly said. “I feel like everything is just so planned. So we see it before it happens, and we see the process right after it happens.”
She continued, “It’s just a lot, like, we deserve spontaneity. We desire to be surprised, and I would hope Destiny’s Child would be a pleasant surprise.”
While Kelly didn’t give the news outlet a specific answer, Beyoncé’s father and DC manager Matthew Knowles shot down the rumors.
Last August, Matthew told TMZ that there were no plans for a DC reunion. According to Matthew, the change of the headers “was just a random, normal social media-type update.”
