Day three of Tory Lanez’s shooting trial began Wednesday with Megan thee Stallion‘s former friend Kelsey Harris taking the stand.
LA Times reporter James Queally reports Harris’ testimony began with her attorney’s requesting immunity. She was reportedly granted “use immunity,” which means the DA’s office can’t use her testimony to prosecute her for a crime.
Lawyer for Workers also broke down Harris’ testimony claiming she immediately invoked her 5th amendment rights when asked if Lanez threatened to shoot her. While on the stand, Harris reportedly told jurors she didn’t want to be there, and when asked what was triggering her, she said, “lies from Megan.” She claimed the lies were that she betrayed Meg and was a bad friend and that she accepted hush money over the shooting.
Harris then detailed her relationship with Tory, saying that she and Megan met him at a Roc Nation brunch and that Megan wanted to hook her up with Lanez. She testified she and Lanez did engage in an intimate relationship. She later said she caught covid and then went back to Texas, and that’s when Megan and Tory began hooking up.
Kelsey then detailed the events that took place at Kylie Jenner’s home, confirming Lanez was trying to get cozy with Jenner in the pool and that Megan got agitated and was ready to leave.
Harris also confirmed the argument in the car ensued after Tory revealed he had been hooking up with both her and Meg.
