The most talked-about clip of “The Masked Singer” has debuted in its entirety, and it is even more satisfying than the preview.
As the show was being promoted for months, judge Ken Jeong was seen in one dramatic clip walking off stage after former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani was revealed as the man underneath the costume performing “Bad to the Bone.” As the other judges laughed and cheered, Jeong, crossed his arms and was in visibility unamused. He then says, “I’m done,” and exits the stage.
If you recall, Giuliani has been at the center of many controversies over the years. The outspoken politician falsely claimed that the 2020 election was rigged in favor of President Joe Biden. As a result of the disparaging comments, his law license in New York was suspended last June. His Washington D.C. license was suspended the following month.
Nevertheless, Giuliani appeared bubbly and in much lighter spirits on the show. When asked by host Nick Cannon why he chose to come on the show, he said it was for his new granddaughter.
“I guess the main reason is, I just had a granddaughter, Grace, and I want her to know that you should try everything,” he explained. While he confessed that participating in a show such as “The Masked Singer” is “unlike” him, he is a huge fan of the fun music series.
When news of Jeong storming off the set circulated in February, sources also said that judge Robin Thicke was disgusted with Giuliani’s appearance. However, it didn’t appear that way during Wednesday’s show. Only Jeong is seen walking off.
