Kendall Jenner is facing a hefty lawsuit for posting herself to her Instagram.
According to The Blast, a photographer by the name of Angela Ma recorded Jenner walking around NYC.
Jenner got a hold of the footage and uploaded it to her social media accounts.
Now, Ma is not only suing Jenner but her company Kendall Jenner Inc. as well, for copyright infringement.
“Defendants did not license the Video from Plaintiff for the Website or any other use. Defendants did not have the Plaintiff’s permission or consent to publish the video on the Website,” the lawsuit states.
Ma is upset that the video was viewed over 13 million times without crediting her as the videographer. Ma claims that when Jenner posted the video at no cost to her followers, it devalued the film hurting her business.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Defendants infringed Plaintiff’s copyright in the video by reproducing and publicly displaying the video on the Website. Defendants were not, and have never been, licensed or otherwise authorized to reproduce, publicly display, distribute and/or use the video,” the lawsuit continues.
Not only is Ma suing for $150,000 in damages, but she is also asking the judge to require Jenner not only to remove the post but account for any profit made from the post as well.
