Kendra Wilkinson And Hank Baskett Are Finally Divorced After 8 Years Of Marriage

Kendra and Hank have officially finished their divorce process. 

After nearly nine years of marriage, Wilkinson tweeted Monday that the chapter has finally closed. 

“Signed my last divorce paper Friday. Brutal. 

I gave it all i got. Truly did. Im beyond proud of myself!! Fought to save til the last second. Oh well. Life goes on. Bye lol,” she wrote.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Hank filed his response citing irreconcilable differences for the split.

The couple openly tried to work on their marriage issues when they aired their dirty laundry on WE TV’s “Kendra On Top” and “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.” Though the union had been turbulent for years, Hank expressed his hope in fixing his marriage with Kendra earlier this year.

In 2014, Hank allegedly had an affair with a transgender woman while his wife was eight months pregnant with their second child. Unfortunately, the infidelity seemed to be the catalyst to their journey towards divorce. 

While Hank admitted to being in the hotel with the transgender model, he insists nothing happened.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The couple share two kids together, 8-year-old Hank IV and 4-year-old Alijah Mary.

Baskett, 35, has requested joint legal and physical custody of their two children. 

Kendra responded to news of her divorce filing Friday on Instagram writing, “Today is the last day of my marriage to this beautiful man. I will forever love Hank and be open but for now we have chosen to go our own ways,” she captioned with a photo of herself and Baskett. “I’m beyond sad and heartbroken because I did believe in forever, that’s why I said yes but unfortunately too much fear has gotten in the way.” 

The 32-year-old former Playboy model seems to be open a new relationship, suggesting via social media she’s ready for something fresh. 

“The marriage was never a walk in the park. They had a lot of issues, whether it was his lack of longevity in his career to his Super Bowl fiasco to her postpartum depression to his infidelity to money and career problems,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE. ”It just never was the fairytale she wanted.”
