The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has officially confirmed that Kendrick Lamar will be inducting West Coast rap crew, N.W.A, at the ceremony taking place on at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 8. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame made the special announcement via their Twitter page on Monday.
Some could say Kendrick Lamar is simply returning the favor, as it was N.W.A member, Ice Cube, who presented him with the Best Rap Album award at the 58th annual Grammy’s.
Kendrick, who dominated the rap/hip hop categories at this years Grammy Awards ceremony, previously teamed up with N.W.A last August for a BILLBOARD cover story. Kendrick interviewed the legendary rap crew ahead of the release of their biopic, “Straight Outta Compton.” The time spent with the West Coast greats makes K. Dot a highly suitable presenter.
Other Hall of Fame inductees this year include Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple and Steve Miller, Kid Rock, and Black Keys.
