The rap battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar has officially come to a close, with Lamar landing a No. 1 hit in the process.
On Monday, Lamar’s unexpected hit, “Not Like Us,” landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track, which has amassed over 37 million plays on YouTube since Its May 4th release, took aim at Drake, his camp, and even rumors surrounding him secretly dating underage girls.
“Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young/ You better not ever go to cell block one/ To any b***h that talk to him and they in love/ Just make sure you hide your lil’ sister from him,” Lamar rapped.
The Mustard-produced tune was also a win for him, as it earned the DJ his first No. 1 song on Billboard. The infectious record has become a staple across social media, with countless videos showing people dancing to it. One couple was even seen turning up to the melody during their wedding reception. Other creators have used the song for several TikToks.
