Entrepreneur Kenny Burns is heading back to V-103 with his own afternoon radio show.
“I am excited to announce that ‘the people’s champ’ is coming back to ‘the people’s station,’ V-103,” said Kenny Burns. “I am ready to work hard to inspire and entertain Atlanta and beyond and can’t wait to connect with my audience every afternoon.”
Kenny Burns is the former Vice President of Roc-A-Fella, who previously served as an on-air radio host from 2011 to 2013 with V-103. He also recently hosted “The Baller Alert Show,” on iHeartRadio alongside Su Solo and Ferrari Simmons.
“We see Kenny Burns bringing his added years of experience, industry work, and current show success to the station, and we’re excited to welcome him back.” Rick Caffey, market manager for Entercom Atlanta, who owns V-103, said in a statement.
The media company also announced that Big Tigger would be replacing V-103 morning radio show host Frank Ski, who also confirmed the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
“After much consideration, talks with my family, and most importantly, talks with God, I have decided to leave V103. This wasn’t an easy decision, but I’m grateful this is MY decision. My decision to leave is a result of wanting a different experience and my desire to grow. It’s never easy to say goodbye, but if you understand God’s promises, you can’t help but to be excited for what’s ahead.”
Big Tigger ’s new program, “The Morning Culture with Big Tigger,” will air weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET, while Kenny Burns will take over the afternoon slot with the “The Kenny Burns Show” from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays. Both changes will take effect August 17th.
