The ex-wife of “Inside the NBA” host, Kenny Smith, has filed documents to have the court garnish the broadcaster’s wages for back child and spousal support.
Gwendolyn Osbourne and Smith have been battling it out in court for months, and Osbourne’s latest move was filing court documents demanding Smith’s Turner Sports checks be garnished to pay back the money he owes in both child and spousal support.
Osbourne is looking to collect $16,562 a month for child support and another $28,898 a month for spousal support. The order states Turner Sports will pay the money to the California State Disbursement Unit, which will then pay it to Osbourne. Sources close to the situation say Osbourne originally wanted to settle the matter privately, but after allegedly being ignored she decided to take it to court. The Blast reports Osbourne feels she is doing justice on behalf of women who feel unheard.
The two were married for 12 years and share two children together: Malloy, 11, and 6-year-old London. Following their breakup Osbourne told The Blast, “Kenny and I are parting ways very amicably. There is no one to blame here. We have amazing kids and will co-parent our children with all the love in the world.”
