A Kentucky high school is under investigation after photos seemingly showing staff members getting lap dances from students appeared online.
Hazard High School in Hazard, Kentucky, was celebrating its week of homecoming activities when the alleged incident occurred. According to the school’s Facebook page, staff participated in a “Man Pageant” and “Costume Day” this past Tuesday. The photos were posted on the athletics department’s Facebook page, but they were taken down at some point after, Yahoo! News reports.
The photos allegedly showed students wearing less than the average amount of clothes giving lap dances to faculty. One of those staff members was allegedly the school’s principal, Donald “Happy” Mobelini. Mobelini is also the mayor of the city.
“Um. Exactly what is going on here, y’all? C’mon Hazard,” wrote co-founder of education advocacy group KY 120 United, Nema Brewer, on Tuesday. “Get it together.” Some other photos that were taken down showed female students wearing “Hooters” outfits and some students and staff using paddles to paddle one another.
The superintendent of the school, Sondra Combs, said the matter is being looked into. She told The Courier-Journal that the district “has a tradition of excellence and academics and everything we do, but the incident is being investigated, and once the investigation is complete, appropriate action will be taken.”

This is at a high school in Hazard Kentucky
Apparently this is the “Man Pageant” for Hazard’s Homecoming. Stripping and lap dances was a very poor choice for the ages of those involved.
