Kenya Moore is reviving her film career with a new Lifetime movie based on a real-life abduction.
Ahead of her new film, “Abducted Off the Street: The Carlesha Gaither Story,” Moore sat down with Fox 5 Atlanta, where she dished on her role as the determined mother, Keisha Gaither, who advocates for her daughter Carlesha following her abduction. Moore admitted that when she initially read the script, she had to put it down due to the subject matter being too heavy. However, after going over the script again, Moore was sold.
“I have to tell the story, and I have to do my part, and that’s why I said yes,” Moore revealed.
The story that Moore is preparing to tell is that of Carlesha Gaither, who was abducted in Philadelphia shortly after getting off a bus. The ordeal was caught on camera, capturing Gaither kicking out a rear window of the vehicle. Gaither left clues during her days-long abduction to help authorities find her. Her mother, Keisha, was also at the forefront, helping raise awareness about her daughter’s disappearance.
Elsewhere in the chat, Moore spilled some tea on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” According to Moore, some changes are coming to the franchise.
“They’re definitely at a little break. They definitely wanted to shake the cast up… and they wanna win all of the fans back,” she revealed.
When asked if she would be coming back, Moore played coy but maintained that information would be announced soon.
