The long-awaited episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” that led to Kenya Moore’s exit aired Sunday night, and fans are reeling.

In the controversial episode five, titled “About Last Night,” viewers finally witnessed the soft opening of the Kenya Moore Hair Spa. Each cast member was in attendance, including Moore’s newest arch-nemesis, Brit Eady. Much of the episode picked up where episode four, “The Vault,” left off, with Eady attempting to make amends with Moore after stating she would use weapons on Moore during a heated argument after dinner. However, Moore was not open to reconciliation and used the opportunity to hit far below the belt.
In the scene, which was first teased in 2024, Moore takes a moment to thank her attendees—then slams Eady for coming at her since they began filming together. As the crowd looked on, Moore unveiled a poster that appeared to show mugshots of Eady, drawing gasps from the attendees. She then delivered a more shocking blow by sharing an enlarged image of Eady performing a sex act. While the cameras refrained from showing the images, commentary from Cynthia Bailey and others confirmed the disturbing nature of the photo. Porsha Williams, Kelli Ferrell, and others walked out after the pornographic moment took place.
Kenya and Brit’s History
Season 16 began with Moore and Eady not seeing eye to eye. In episode one, Eady felt that Moore was shading her wedding ring. From there, she believed Moore was being dismissive and “snooty” in their interactions. This tension escalated in episode four during Angela Oakley’s dinner party. Moore accused Eady of trying to “have a moment” after the ladies had a blow-up over their anonymous “slip” games. One of the slips asked why Moore is invested in other women’s relationships, while another questioned whether Moore could begin speaking more kindly to Eady. The game sparked an all-out war, with Eady eventually stating that she was packing a pistol and even whips.
Was Kenya Justified?
Many viewed Eady’s comments as threats, though some believe that since she never displayed a weapon or assaulted Moore, her remarks were less severe than Moore’s response. Last year, Moore defended herself following her Bravo exit, criticizing the network for failing to penalize Eady for the threats.
“I didn’t have to take it that far but when I feel threatened…I’ve never had a child and be in a situation like this before so that’s why I escalated it to the point that I was protecting not only myself but my child,” she said during her November 2024 interview with Tamron Hall.
While Moore may be justified in her feelings, many have viewed her subsequent reaction to Eady as revenge porn. According to Justia Law, in Georgia, “the distribution of nonconsensual intimate images, often referred to as ‘revenge porn,’ is prohibited under Georgia Code § 16-11-90, which criminalizes the electronic transmission or posting of sexually explicit images that cause harm or serve no legitimate purpose to the depicted person.” Moore has maintained that the images were already available online, though the uncensored photos of Eady have not resurfaced since the incident.
Should Kenya Be Allowed to Return?
Given the history of the “Housewives” franchise, cast members have returned following serious allegations. Nene Leakes was rumored to be suspended after ripping a cameraman’s shirt in the Season 11 finale. Phaedra Parks was infamously fired after Season 9 for orchestrating a rumor that Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker planned to “drug and rape” Porsha Williams. However, Parks has since been allowed to return for Season 16, which will play out later this season.
Teresa Giudice was welcomed back to “Real Housewives of New Jersey” after serving a 15-month prison sentence for fraud. Therefore, there is hope that Moore could return in future seasons, especially as fans continue to criticize Eady for antagonizing the former model.
As Moore launches a “Justice for Kenya” campaign, many online are rallying behind her. Whether the network will make room for her, as it has for other Bravolebrities, remains to be seen, though it may not happen in the foreseeable future.
