Is Kenya Moore’s iconic hair salon closed for good? Well, according to a new report, it may very well be.
Per an exclusive piece by The U.S. Sun, Moore’s Atlanta-based Hair Spa, once the talk of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” now appears deserted. The outlet reports that on April 30th and May 1st, “the Kenya Moore Hair Spa was locked up and no stylists, clients or administrators entered or exited all day.”
Despite its stunning décor, the space showed “no products or appliances inside the salon,” and “drawers appeared to be cleared out.” One eyewitness claimed, “It looked like no one worked there at all.”
The grand opening in June 2024 drew headlines, but the buzz has since dimmed. Though the door sign still lists operating hours and the salon’s Instagram posted Kenya washing a client’s hair on April 18th, activity has seemingly stalled.
Online booking via StyleSeat lists availability, but Kenya has not publicly addressed the closure rumors. A representative “has not immediately responded” to media inquiries.
This comes amid drama surrounding Moore’s June 2024 firing from the Bravo series. At the spa’s launch, she unveiled “sexually explicit photos” of Brit Eady, prompting cast walkouts. Moore later admitted, “I believe the photos were very distasteful,” adding, “I was protecting not only myself, but my child.”
Now a single mom to daughter Brooklyn, 6, Kenya has shifted focus, filing trademarks for a children’s brand in her daughter’s name.
