A basketball drama series inspired by the childhood hoops journey of Golden State Warriors star, Kevin Durant, is heading to the digital screen, set to be developed and distributed by Apple. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Durant’s “Swagger” has been picked up by the tech giant, and has been in development for about a year. With Durant set to executive produce the project, the series will be loosely based on the baller’s life as a top prospect in the DMV area.
Directed by “Notorious’” Reggie Rock Bythewood, the show will follow the world Amateur Athletic Union basketball, better known as AAU, in Washington D.C., following “players, families, and coaches who walk the fine line between dreams and ambition, opportunists and corruption,” the publication reports.
The series will be one of more than 15 scripted series’ set to be released on the service. However, a launch date for the new service has yet to be released.
