Britney Spears’ ex-husband, Kevin Federline, has reportedly flatly denied the singer’s new offer for increased child support, per US Weekly.

Spears currently pays $20k per month for the couple’s 11 and 12-year-old sons. The backup dancer says this is not enough, and he’s ready to settle the ordeal in court.

“Kevin truly wanted to try and settle the child support payment increase without getting the courts involved out of respect for Britney, and of course, their two sons,” Us Weekly reported. “Jamie and Britney Spears sent a response to Kevin’s request for an increase in his child support payments, to his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan. Kevin has flatly rejected it,” the source continued.

Reports of Federline’s alleged attempt to garner more monetary support from Spears, by contacting her father, surfaced earlier in the week. Spears’ father and Federline reportedly sat down to discuss his request for more money, stating that the current $20,000 per month payment is not enough for the couple’s two teenage boys. However, when asked where the money was going, Federline reportedly could not provide answers.

Federline was awarded upwards of $1M during the couple’s divorce in 2007 and also receives spousal support from Spears. Thoughts?
