After years of subtle jabs and heated social media exchanges over Mike Epps’ opinion on Kevin Hart’s superstar success, Hart has officially taken the gloves off in their dispute.
Despite last year’s reconciliation, it appears there’s still some unresolved issues between the two. According to Hart, he believes it’s simply bitterness.
“All I can say is that your a sad individual,” Hart wrote, underneath an article that referenced Epps claim that “everyone is” funnier than the record-breaking funnyman.
“I talked to you several times face to face attempts to put the B.S. behind us,” he continued. “I even reached out to u like a man and tried to get to the bottom of your bitterness. When will you realize that my success has nothing to do with you or your journey. Unlike you I want to see you win…I’m actually a fan champ. I’m praying for the day that you will realize that so many of us entertainers have a crabs in a barrel mentality. You are the biggest crab I know.”
As he continued, Epps took the time to respond, and accused the “Irresponsible” comedian of playing the victim.
“You still starving to be a victim,” he asked. “I said it ‘wasn’t press worthy’ and here you go as usual trying to show the world how great you are because people pick on you. Gtfoh. You have a long line of shit to clean up before you can hand me a MF bucket. I’ve been doing this shit for 25+ yrs Mr. Victim. Don’t get too cute little brother.”
In the end, he doubled down on his initial statement, saying “I still don’t believe yo ass funny.”
What are your thoughts? Do you think people have the tendency to pick on the most successful celebrity in their field?
