Kevin Hart’s rap alter ego, Chocolate Droppa, hit NPR’s Tiny Desk for an April Fools’ takeover, and of course, it was pure comedy.
“Y’all not ready, man,” Droppa declared. “At the end of the day, I’m dressed in all black because it’s a funeral. It ain’t mine, it’s theirs. You know who I’m talking to.”
Before launching into his set, he made it clear that this wasn’t the average Tiny Desk performance.
“The only time that they had somebody on Tiny Desk with no fucking track,” he boasted. “Off the dome.”
Somewhere between the bars and the jokes, Droppa also hinted at a new album and he’s coming for that #1 spot.
