Back in 2017, news surfaced of Kevin Hunter’s decade long affair with massage therapist, Sharina Hudson. One year later, reports revealed that the two were expecting their first child, which, in turn, catapulted Hunter’s wife, Wendy Williams, into an alcohol-fueled depression.
But now, upon the birth of Hunter’s alleged love child, Williams has officially filed for divorce after 22 years of marriage. In fact, in her first episode after filing, Williams opened up about her new life with her son, and she seemingly addressed Hunter’s new diaper duties.
“She’s not having any more kids, that’s been dried up. In a good way,” she said. “I don’t know about you, but my diaper changing days are over.”
In the meantime, Hunter has also opened up about his longstanding relationship with the famed talk show host. In a statement to E! News, Hunter offered support to his wife and addressed the rumors that plagued the couple’s relationship.
“28 years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams,” he said. “At the time, I didn’t realize that she would not only become my wife but would also change the face of entertainment and the world. I have dedicated most of our lives to the business empire that is Wendy Williams Hunter, a person I truly love and respect unconditionally.”
“I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family, and her amazing fans,” Hunter continued. “I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs.”
“No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family, and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine. I ask that you please give me and my family privacy as we heal. Thank you.”
