Less than a week after Wendy Williams pulled the plug on her 22-year marriage to Kevin Hunter and fired him from her namesake talk show, sources say Hunter is trying to negotiate a big payout ahead of his exit.
According to The Blast, Hunter believes he can get a multi-million dollar settlement out of Williams, and apparently, he’s determined to fight for it. In fact, sources say Hunter isn’t even thinking about saving his marriage, he’s just focused on the money.
Problem is, Williams’ business relationship with Hunter extends far beyond their marriage. Not only is Hunter the executive producer on Williams’ namesake show, but he’s also one of the owners of Wendy’s production company, which also co-produces the show, The Blast reports.
As a result, sources say the settlement between the two will take quite some time, but lucky for Williams, New Jersey reportedly allows grounds for a fault divorce. This means, if Williams can prove Hunter cheated and used his marital funds on his mistress, she may come out victorious in the distributions of funds in the final settlement.
However, Williams’ recent relapse could also result in a fault divorce in Hunter’s case.
