Kevin McCall Jr. was arrested during his own court hearing for fighting officers and resisting arrest. McCall was initially in court to fight for custody of his daughter with Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Eva Marcille.
The incident occurred Tuesday at the Justice Center Tower in Fulton County, GA. According to TMZ, the officers say they repeatedly told McCall he wasn’t allowed to record video in the courthouse. Still, he insisted on posting to Instagram Live as he walked through the building. After he refused to shut down the recording, sources say he could be heard using harsh language, while telling an officer to take off his badge and fight.
Once back up arrived, the officers were able to detain him, but he almost immediately broke loose. During the second attempt to arrest McCall, police say both he and the sergeant fell down an escalator.
McCall was booked on four misdemeanors including, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and simple assault. He was also charged on one felony count for criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree.
According to TMZ, Marcille has stated previously he’s a ticking time bomb and has begged the court to block him from getting custody of their five-year-old daughter.
