Nearly three years after Keyshia Cole filed for divorce from her former NBA Player boo, Daniel Gibson, the terms of the divorce are officially finalized.
In court documents obtained by The Blast, the “Love” singer has agreed to receive no child or spousal support in the divorce. However, both parents will share joint custody of their 10-year-old son, and each will cover the cost of parenting when their son is with each of them.
The two have also reportedly agreed not to bash one another or their family members.
“The court finds that both parties waives any rights to current spousal support. No court shall have jurisdiction to order any spousal support for either Party at any time,” the settlement read, adding that “The parties shall have joint custody of the minor child,” and each has agreed to forgo child support.
Instead, “each party is ordered to support the minor child while the child is residing with that Party and current child support is set at zero,” and the two must “equally share the cost of the minor child’s tuition, and all such cost shall be timely paid directly to the minor’s school.”
Birthdays will be split, and the two agreed to meet and discuss any other additional expenses. But, ultimately, all expenses must be shared equally, according to the settlement.
“Any reconciliation between the parties shall not cancel, terminate, modify or waive any provisions of this judgement,” the settlement added. “Unless the Parties so agree in writing. However, nothing in the subsection shall be construed to waive either Party’s rights in community property accrued after a reconciliation.”
