The publication of an unedited, natural-looking photograph of Khloe Kardashian by a team member over the weekend began circulating online. The reality star has been attempting to persuade various accounts to delete copies of the photo.
According to Page Six, several accounts that reposted the image and praised it as “beautiful” have now received “legal threats” demanding that it be removed because Khloe did not approve it.
“The color edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by accident by an assistant,” Tracy Romulus, chief marketing officer for KKW Brands, said in a statement. He added: “Khloé looks beautiful, but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down.”
Since then, Instagram, Reddit, and Twitter have begun notifying users that the photo has been taken down because it might be a copyright violation.
One Twitter user tweeted that she “Woke up to a locked page this morning Courtesy of the Kardashian’s lawyer.”
