Khloe Kardashian revealed that leading up to True Thompson’s first birthday party, she was very conflicted on if she should invite Tristan. While she seemed to be very much against the idea of him being there and making the party into a spectacle, ‘Momager’ #KrisJenner convinced her to invite him, “It’s her dad,” she said, adding, “Just listen to me. Nobody wants to be left out of the memories that are made.”
Going against her own personal feelings about Tristan, Khloe decided that inviting him was the right thing to do. However, the day before the party, Tristan wanted to come over to see True, and Khloe decided it was a chance to get the awkwardness out of the way prior to the birthday party. But the meetup didn’t quite go as expected. Khloe shared the details of the off-camera visit with her glam team, stating that Thompson lingered around the house longer than expected and even asked her if she wanted to have “a glass of wine.”
Khloe said, “And then he was like, ‘Can I have a hug?’ And then I one-arm hugged him, and he was like, ‘One? A one-handed hug?'” Khloe told her glam team. “I was like, ‘That’s nice enough.’ And then he tried to kiss me, and I go, ‘This is the problem with you. You can’t just take what you get.’”
Tristan then showed up to True’s party the next day, and of course, all eyes were on the former couple. Although Khloe and Tristan tried to give co-parenting their best shot at the party by trying to be civil, the night ended with Khloe storming away from the party emotional and in tears. She was pissed that Thompson went on to confront #KanyeWest about how he was portrayed in a #KUWTK promo.
“He didn’t like that ‘Runaway’ intro,” West shared with his wife. “He felt like we were using my music to reinforce his narrative.”
“We don’t control the narrative,” Kim Kardashian defended.
