Khloe Kardashian’s dreams for her future with Tristan Thompson aren’t going as planned. The reality star appeared on Sarah Hyland’s original digital series ‘Lady Parts,’ where she opens up about her baby planning decisions.
Khloe, 36, and Tristan, 29, have a 2-year-old daughter, True Thompson, and have suggested having another child and even considered surrogacy on the upcoming final season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
“I actually have done IVF about three different times,” Khloe shares. “I froze my eggs once already, and when I was ready to make embryos with Tristan, I was making embryos.” Unfortunately, for the defrosted eggs, “none of them survived,” Khloe said.
She said, “I’m so grateful that I decided to make embryos. I’m 36, but as young as I am, what if I was 40 and then my eggs aren’t as healthy, so then I’d have to do IVF again to make embryos, and we realized my eggs aren’t strong enough to be frozen,” she explains. “They should be mixed immediately with sperm to make embryos.”
The COVID-19 pandemic has shifted Khloe’s plans for a second child, she says.
“My plan was to have kids closer in age, but now with COVID and everything, my plans been a little delayed.” However, she says, “I definitely do want more children.”
Khloe says the pandemic solidified her desire for siblings for her daughter, owing to her upbringing in a large family.
She said, “I think it’s such a blessing, especially during these times, to have a family member or people you can play with and rely on and just have a buddy through life.”
