Kid Rock is unapologetic for his 2019 negative comments about Oprah Winfrey and Joy Behar.
On Tuesday, Rock sat down for an interview with Tucker Carlston for his Fox Nation documentary “Life of a Rockstar: Kid Rock.” Rock’s three-year-old rant came up in conversation, and the rockstar says he doesn’t feel bad for saying them.
“A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts,” he said. “I own what I said. I don’t apologize to anybody. I’m not an Oprah Winfrey fan. I got drunk and f*ckin’ next thing, I’m on stage [saying] f*ck Oprah ….”

Rock also seemingly apologized for his statement about “Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee” former host Kathie Lee Gifford.
“I was trying to go after Kathy Griffin you know, for holding up Trump’s head. But I’m so out of it I’m like, ‘F*ck Kathie Lee Gifford,’” he explained. “When it comes back on TMZ or whatever a few weeks later I’m like, ‘Oh man, I like Kathie Lee Gifford.’ We’ve been kind of friendly throughout the years.”
In 2019, Rock performed at Nashville’s Honky Tonk bar prior to the pandemic. Rock was escorted off stage for verbally attacking several television personalities. He later tweeted why he said what he said.
“My people tried to get me to do The Oprah Winfrey show years ago and her people wanted me to write down 5 reasons why I loved her and her show…🏳️🌈 I said f*ck that and her. End of story.”
